The Undergraduate UMass Boston Navitas Global Student Success Program offers an alternative pathway to the University of Massachusetts Boston for international students who may not qualify for direct entry and who seek a supportive study environment. The program is offered in a two or three semester format, which is equivalent to the first year of a UMass Boston bachelor's degree program. The Graduate UMass Boston Global Student Success Program is a two-semester program designed for students who have completed a bachelor's degree but who need or wish to have additional support to gain entry into a UMass Boston graduate degree program.

The UMass Boston Navitas sponsors several events per semester for students to participate in that includes soccer tournament, talent show, whale watching, Halloween party, Boston professional sporting events and dinner parties. It also provides comprehensive student support services covering all aspects of academic and non-academic life.
