Alexander College is a private post-secondary institution serving approximately 4,000 students from over 54 countries every year. It is recognized and accredited by the BC Ministry of Advanced Education, the Degree Quality Assurance Board (DQAB), BC Education Quality Assurance (EQA) program.

  Alexander college is also a proud participant in the BC Transfer System, organized by the BC Council on Admissions and Transfer (BCCAT).

  Alexander College provides a supportive learning environment to students from many cultural backgrounds and language abilities by offering internationally recognized university transfer courses and degree programs, individual support services, and campus activities to foster local and global community engagement. Additionally, its integrated English for Academic Purposes program is also available to assist non-native English speakers with their transition to university level studies in the English language.

Alexander College offers students an excellent level of teaching quality, from innovative and exciting curricula to passionate staff who are experts in their field. Students will be able to learn through the use of modern learning facilities, effective classroom teaching and a variety of applied or collaborative activities to consolidate their knowledge.

  The college is particularly renown for its University Transfer program, powering students' transition into a number of prestigious institutions across the country. Graduates of Alexander College enjoy a high success rate in transferring to prominent Canadian universities, including but not limited to the University of Toronto, the University of British Columbia, and Simon Fraser University.

  Each student will receive a custom transfer plan which will grow with them during their studies, helping them achieve their ideal transfer route.

  Students can also benefit from a dedicated English for Academic Purposes program, which is integrated into the curriculum at Alexander, helping non-native speakers achieve the required level of ability to meet their academic transfer goals.

Our Associate Degree programs are 2-year undergraduate programs that require 60 – 64 credits for graduation.

  University TransferEven if a student is worried about their English, they do not need to postpone their study. We provide English courses that help them develop academic English skills and enable them to take college-level courses while studying English when they reach a certain level.

Arts

Aged at least 16+ years of age. All programs require evidence of English language proficiency (Click here to view the requirements) Completion of Secondary Education (12 years, or equivalent) or mature student status, or post-secondary transfer Academic and/or GPA requirements specific to individual programs Canadian Citizenship or legal authorization to study in Canada

Science

Aged at least 16+ years of age. All programs require evidence of English language proficiency (Click here to view the requirements) Completion of Secondary Education (12 years, or equivalent) or mature student status, or post-secondary transfer Academic and/or GPA requirements specific to individual programs Canadian Citizenship or legal authorization to study in Canada Entry from Grade 12: Two of: Biology 12, Chemistry 12, Physics 12, Geography 12, Geology 12 (or equivalents) Mathematics 12, grade of ‘C+' or higher (or calculus-based equivalent) Entry from University Transfer: At least 9 transferable post-secondary credits, with a cumulative GPA of 1.50 or higher. University transfer applicants with cumulative GPA's below 1.50 may be admitted provisionally At least 6 credits first-year biological or physical sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, Geology) ALEX MATH 100, grade of ‘C' or higher (or equivalent)

EASL

Aged at least 16+ years of age. Students in the ESL program are not required to hold a study permit if studying for 6 months or less. Scholarships & funding

At Alexander College, the tuition fee is determined by the number of credits a student needs to complete to graduate from the chosen program.

  Approximate tuition fees per year: CAD $18,300

  For all Associate Degrees, a student must complete 60 credits (except Business which requires 64 credits). As of September (Fall) 2023, each credit cost will be $610 CAD for an international student.
