About the course

The Solar Energy research group focuses on the development of affordable solar energy technologies and allied devices. We provide solutions to counter energy challenges that can lead us towards a sustainable future. The key subjects within the group include high efficiency solar energy conversion and storage, concentrating photovoltaics, solar fuels, 3rd generation solar cells and allied devices. The group is composed of leading and emerging scientists who undertake interdisciplinary research on frontier issues of environment and sustainability along with both national and international partners. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Exeter

For all research degrees you will normally be required to have obtained or expect to obtain a first degree equivalent to at least a UK 2:1 Honours degree. You will need at least a 2:1 or its equivalent in order to be considered by any of the main funding bodies. For some programmes we also consider evidence of relevant personal, professional and educational experience. Where an applicant has taken or is taking, more than one academic qualification that meets our entry requirements, the University reserves the right to make an offer on the most recent academic qualification. IELTS (Academic) - Overall score 6.0. No less than 6.0 in any section. TOEFL IBT* - Overall score 87 with minimum scores of 21 for writing, 21 for listening, 22 for reading and 23 for speaking.
