About the course

The CCoRD group investigates geomorphic and ecosystem changes in the cryosphere and in marine and coastal, and fluvial systems over the recent past, in the present, and into the future. Our fundamental aim is to understand how these different environments are responding to current environmental and climatic change. This is based on an understanding of past responses to change and on measured rates of change in the modern and, based on these underpinning empirical data, the modelling of future landform and process changes. The group thus employs various methods, covering analytical and dating approaches, remote sensing, field surveys, numerical modelling, and palaeoecological and palaeoclimatic analyses.
