We conduct research in all areas of food and society, including subjects which require collaboration between the social and natural sciences. We translate research into policy recommendations.

How to apply

Entry requirements for Newcastle University

A 2:1 honours degree, or international equivalent, in a relevant subject.

　　We usually expect research experience and/or a postgraduate qualification, such as a MRes or MSc, for PhD study. Please contact us if you are in any doubt.

　　IELTS 6.5 overall (with a minimum of 5.5 in all other sub-skills).

　　TOEFL IBT: score of 90 with a minimum of Reading - 18, Writing - 17, Listening - 17, Speaking - 20.
