About the course

The Postgraduate Diploma Understanding Legal Practice provides a course of study that will provide you with the knowledge and understanding of the legal principles and professional practice, as they relate to the work of a Solicitor and CILEX Lawyer.

　　The course aims to:

　　Provide you with the knowledge, skills and related professional practice required to undertake the Solicitors’ Qualifying Exam (SQE) Part 1 and/or the CILEX professional stage (CPQ).Develop your ability to apply legal knowledge and skills, to both the theory and practice of law utilising complex authentic scenarios.Develop your understanding of the professional ethics requirements of a legal practitioner, based upon the Code of Conduct of the SRA and CILEX.
