About the course

The PGCert is an intensive 13-week programme designed exclusively for trainee patent and/or trade mark attorneys. This Certificate programme commences in early September. There will be a one week programme induction, followed by one week intensive course covering the Fundamentals of English Law and Professional Ethics. This is taught Monday -Thursday, usually with two classes per day.

　　Trainees who successfully complete this programme will gain professional accreditation from the Intellectual Property Regulation Board. Intellectual property law has become an interdisciplinary field comprised of law, engineering, medical science, economics, and numerous other fields. This PGCert focuses on many of the practical aspects of patents, trade marks, designs and copyright.
