About the course

If you’re interested in how people think and behave at work – and in helping them optimise their wellbeing and performance – this is the course for you. You’ll learn to play a key role in developing knowledge, and to influence best practice and policy in the workplace, both today and in the rapidly changing workplace of the future.

  Taught by the School of Psychology and the University of Sussex Business School, you’ll gain valuable skills and knowledge in:

  psychological assessment at work

  learning, training and development

  leadership, engagement and motivation

  wellbeing and work

  organisational design, change and development.

  The course will also cover issues relevant to the future of work, bringing you the latest thinking on a range of topics such as digital connectivity and agile working practices, emotions and wellbeing at work, managing work conflict, relational attachment at work, attitudes to diversity, and modern leadership. Throughout the course, there’s a strong emphasis on issues around equality, diversity and inclusion.

How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Sussex

You should normally have an upper second-class (2.1) undergraduate honours degree or above. Applicants with a lower second class (2.2) degree with at least 57%, or work experience, will also be considered on an individual basis.

  Your qualification should be in psychology or a relevant subject (e.g., business and management, sociology, health care), and demonstrate a high level of research methodology.

  IELTS (Academic) - Standard level (6.5 overall, including at least 6.0 in each component). TOEFL (iBT) - 88 overall, including at least 20 in Listening, 19 in Reading, 21 in Speaking, 23 in Writing.
