About the course
On our MSc Criminal Justice programme you’ll learn from our experts and develop your understanding of Criminal Justice theories and concepts in real-world settings. You’ll be taught by tutors with academic and professional experience. The course will develop your ability to understand the Criminal Justice System (CJS) at a conceptual and operational level, incorporating UK and international perspectives. You’ll analyse social, economic and political influences, including youth, race, gender and the media, to explore how different societies attempt to control crime and offenders. Optional modules will enable you to advance your critical analytical skills in the fields of international criminal law, terrorism, open source Internet investigation and multi-agency Early Action Partnerships. Your course leader has worked with the Police, Home Office and Non-Government Organisations in generating innovative approaches to issues of crime and disorder. How to apply
Entry requirements for University of Central Lancashire
An honours degree at level 2:2 or above, or equivalent qualifications and experience. Applications are welcome from individuals with non-standard qualifications. Proficiency in the use of spoken and written English is required.
