About the course

We focus on the application of chemical approaches to problems in biology and medicine. By advancing our understanding of the molecular basis of life, we open new opportunities for treating diseases as diverse as cancer, bacterial and viral infections, and neurodegenerative diseases. Our research is underpinned by expertise in chemical synthesis, medicinal chemistry, molecular recognition, enzymology, biophysical and analytical methods, and nanoscience. How to apply
Entry requirements for University of Leeds
You must have achieved a bachelor degree with a 2:1 (hons), or equivalent, or a good performance in a Masters level course in a relevant subject. We also recognise relevant industrial and academic experience. IELTS - an overall band of 6.0 with no individual skill band below 5.5 in all components iBT TOEFL - (Internet-based Test of English as a Foreign Language): a score of 87 overall with Listening 20, Reading 20, Speaking 22, Writing 21.
