About the course
This Masters will provide graduates from an engineering or mathematical based science background the opportunity to specialise in the application of engineering science and design to biological materials and systems, especially in:Food process engineering, Sustainable energy, Environmental protection. Biosystems Engineers are at the forefront of the search for practical solutions to global problems and this specialisation will lead graduates to a wide variety of employment opportunities with companies focussing on processing of food and other biological materials, environmental protection, waste recycling, sustainable energy and green technologies. Entry requirements for University College Dublin
An honours undergraduate degree (NFQ Level 8) with minimum upper second class honours or international equivalence in an engineering degree programme or mathematically-based science subject. Ielts - An average score of 6.5 over all components and a minimum of 6.0 in each band on the Academic Version, Toefl - A minimum score of 600 in the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL PBT), with Test of Written English at 475 + A minimum score of 90 is required in the Internet based TOEFL (iBT) with a score of at least 20 in each section
