About the course

Developed specifically for seasoned executives and entrepreneurs, the Master of Science in Strategic Design for Global Leadership gives innovative professionals the tools they need to transform their industries while continuing to work at their jobs. Bringing together design thinking, management, and applied social sciences, the graduate program responds to the need for global businesses and organizations to address complex 21st-century economic, environmental, and social challenges as leaders in their fields. Methods from studio practice such as ideation, ethnographic research, prototyping, and service design are used to devise approaches to business and social innovation in global contexts. Over the course of 18 months, a select group of diverse professionals engage in a series of seminars, virtual learning, and hands-on intensive residencies in global capitals such as Paris, New York City, and Asia. Entry requirements for The New School

Applicants offered admission will be required to submit official transcripts with proof of their degree conferral(s) prior to enrollment. Admitted applicants must submit all official transcripts pertaining to their entire academic career. Transcripts uploaded with the online application are considered unofficial, and do not satisfy this requirement.

　　Graduate degree applicants must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited American college or university or the equivalent degree from a foreign college or university. Applicants in the process of completing the bachelor's degree may apply for admission. Admission to the program requires completion of the bachelor's degree.
