About the course
The MS in Software Engineering provides students with marketable skills in methodologies, techniques, and tools of software engineering. The program encompasses the entire life-cycle of software development including requirements, analysis, design, construction, testing, and project management. Emphasis is placed on current and emerging technologies for engineering large and complex distributed software systems. According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, software engineering has been among the fastest growing IT professions in the US. It also emphasizes the development of communication and presentation skills in a team-based software development environment. The curriculum encompasses all important aspects of software engineering, including: requirements engineering, software architecture and design, software construction, software testing and quality assurance, software maintenance, and software project management. How to apply
Entry requirements for DePaul University
Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
Bachelor's degree awarded from a regionally accredited institution
Submit official transcripts from all college and universities attended, one of which must show the conferral of a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
Letters of recommendation
The minimum scores considered for full graduate admission to CDM are:
80 on the iBT of the TOEFL with a minimum score of 17 on each section
550 on the paper-based TOEFL test
6.5 on the IELTS test
