About the course

Our faculty members and graduate students form a group of scholars with an interest in innovation, creativity, and advanced study. Our programs provide excellent prospects for investigation and for association among people whose common goal is to broaden the boundaries of their profession. The graduate programs offered in the department are designed to prepare graduates for professional engineering work in private industry or governmental laboratories or for teaching/research positions. Entry requirements for University of New Mexico

　　Applications from individuals with a B.S. degree in other Engineering disciplines, Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physical Sciences (such as Physics and Chemistry) are also considered. To qualify for a graduate degree, applicants are expected to have at least an undergraduate-level exposure to most of the core ME disciplines.

　　Minimum of a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) on a U.S. 4.0 scale or comparable grade point average in upper-division (junior and senior level) university course work and in any graduate work already completed.

　　 Graduate TOEFL  (internet-based) - 79. Graduate TOEFL (paper-based) - 550. Graduate IELTS - 6.5.
