About the course

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, one of the largest academic departments in South Carolina, is offering 3 high quality graduate-level programs in Mechanical Engineering: MS Thesis, MS Non-Thesis, and PhD. According to the 2019 U.S. News & World Report rankings, Clemson University is #29 in top public schools and #11 for the most innovative schools among national public universities, attributable to our talented students and the efforts of dedicated ME faculty members. Currently, the Department is proud to employ seven NSF grant recipients, six NSF CAREER awardees, an editor of an International Journal, 12 associate editors/members of the editorial boards of national/international journals, and multiple fellows of engineering societies (ASME, SME, ANS, Presidential Faculty Fellows). 　　A copy of your unofficial transcripts from each institution you’ve attended should be attached to and submitted with the online application for admission.

　　A satisfactory score (80 or higher) is required of international students whose native language is not English. Clemson’s institution code is 5111. TOEFL scores are valid for two years.
