About the course
The concentration in knowledge management prepares students for positions in the private and public sectors that deal with various aspects of knowledge management processes and practices. It equips students with the skills and knowledge needed to manage organizational knowledge, intellectual capital and knowledge assets. Today's knowledge management professionals are expected to manage data and data analysis within the organization, cultivate innovation, increase collaboration, promote knowledge sharing, and identify knowledge gaps. At the same time, employers are seeking information and knowledge professionals who can demonstrate creative thinking and have the ability to use knowledge and technology to further their business goals and enhance productivity. Completion of the concentration provides students with the basic skills and competencies that will enable them to support their organization to gain strategic and tactical competitive advantage. Entry requirements for University of North Texas
Upload the following documents to the MyUNT Portal through the Task List:
1. A one-page statement of purpose and goals detailing your interest in the master's program and reviewing your professional goals.
2. A resum? complete with a list of honors and activities.
3. Two (2) letters of recommendation. Letters should be from former professors, or others who can evaluate your academic qualification, or from job supervisors who can assess your potential for success as an information professional. (Files submitted must be in PDF format). Note: We do not require GRE scores. The Information Science department will verify that minimum grade point average meets one of the following requirements:
3.0 on the last 60 hours of a bachelor's degree,
3.0 cumulative undergraduate GPA,
a 3.5 GPA on a completed master's degree. Official transcripts from every college or university attended should be sent to the UNT Toulouse Graduate School. Minimum TOEFL score requirement is 79 iBT, Paper-Based: 550, Minimum IELTS score is Overall band 6.0 or higher
