About the course
The primary purpose of the Master of Science in Genetics and Genome Sciences is to train students for a variety of careers in areas of genetics and genomics. The Master of Science degree in Genetics and Genome Sciences is available under Plan A (with thesis). How to apply
Entry requirements for Michigan State University
Applicants will be considered for admission by the Genetics and Genome Sciences Executive Committee. The criteria for admission include an undergraduate major in the biological sciences, acceptable grade-point average, a statement of objectives and three letters of recommendation. The Genetics and Genome Sciences Executive Committee will also consider requests for students to transfer from the Doctor of Philosophy in Genetics and Genome Sciences to this program.
TOEFL (iBT): no subscore below 19 for reading, listening, and speaking, no writing subscore below 22, with a minimum average score of 80
TOEFL (PBT): minimum average score of 550, no subscore below 52.
IELTS - Minimum average score of 6.5. No subscore below 6.0.
