How to apply

Entry requirements for Montana State University

The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering requires the following for admission to its graduate programs:

　　Official Transcripts. Minimum 3.0 GPA (out of 4.0) in undergraduate program in electrical enginering or ly related.

　　GRE Scores: preferred 150 verbal, 155 quantitative, 3.5 writing.

　　Letters of recommendation (3)

　　Statement of Research Interest: Describe the primary research areas you are interested in pursuing as a graduate student in an essay approximately one page in length. The essay should discuss specific research interests shared with our faculty.

　　International students:

　　English proficiency scores: TOEFL 90 or IELTS level 7. This is waived if the applicant has earned a degree from an institution in the U.S.
