The Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, offered by the Department of Electrical Engineering, is designed to prepare our graduates for the dynamic global society. Our programs have made us a leading provider of engineering talent to Silicon Valley?s high-tech industry. The curriculum is continually updated to keep abreast of advances in the engineering profession and industry. Entry requirements for San Jose State University
A baccalaureate degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum computed GPA (Grade Point Average) of 3.0 on a 0 to 4.0 scale in the last 60 semester units. The university from which the transcripts were submitted computes the GPA.A minimum score of 550 (or 213 if computer based, or 80 if Internet-based) in the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language).A 2.5 institutional GPA (from the 0.0-4.0 U.S. grading scale) in the last degree completed, or a 2.5 GPA in the last two years of full time study.
