Whether you decide to pursue this program’s thesis or non-thesis tracks in general criminal justice or security studies, the purpose of TROY’s master’s in criminal justice is to broaden and enhance your ability to understand, analyze and evaluate issues that confront the American criminal justice system. Through your courses, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from knowledgeable and dedicated faculty members who will help you better understand decisions made by the U.S. Supreme Court as well as analyze criminal law, criminal justice organizations and the effectiveness of various crime control policies.

Entry requirements for Troy University

Completed Application for Admission to the Graduate School.

　　A letter of recommendation that addresses the applicants potential for success in the Master of Criminal Justice graduate program

　　Hold a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a minimum overall undergraduate grade point average of 2.5 (4.0 scale) or a 3.0 grade point average on the last 30 semester hours. All hours attempted in the term in which the 30 semester hours were reached will be used to calculate the grade point average.

　　English proficiency minimums: official TOEFL test overall score 70 or official IELTS test score 6.0 bands overall.
