About the course

The Department of Mathematics offers programs leading to the M.A., M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Mathematics, with research specializations in the following areas: Algebra, Analysis, Applied Mathematics, Geometry, Partial Differential Equations, and Topology.

　　Our Applied Mathematics program involves interdisciplinary study in physics, engineering, and biological sciences. We provide sophisticated and critical training at both undergraduate and graduate levels focusing on scientific computing and mathematical modeling with applications in mathematical biology, fluid mechanics, and medical imaging analysis. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of California

Three (3) letters of recommendation.

　　Supplementary Fellowship Form (optional).

　　Financial Statement Form (required of international applicants).

　　TOEFL score (if applicable) - Minimum score of 550 or 213 for the computer-based version of the exam or 80 on the internet-based version of the exam. One set of official transcripts - you need at least a 3.20 GPA - from all post-secondary institutions attended.

　　If transcripts are not in English, certified translated copies must be sent in addition to those in the native language. ) Ielts - The minimum acceptable overall score is 7 with no score less than 6 on any individual component. A bachelor's degree, or its equivalent, from an accredited institution.
