About the course

The Department of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics offers a Master of Science in aerospace engineering and mechanics degree via an on-campus program and an off-campus (distance learning) program through the College of Continuing Studies. An MSAEM can be earned by coursework only or by a combination of coursework and an approved thesis. Most distance learning students elect to complete the coursework only degree option. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Alabama

The applicant must have a grade point average of 3.0 overall, 3.0 in the last 60 semester hours in a degree program, or 3.0 for a completed graduate degree program.

  Applicants for graduate study in aerospace engineering and mechanics must apply online through the Graduate School. Required materials are statement of purpose (include potential faculty advisors with similar interests and discuss post-graduation goals). official transcripts

  The applicant must have a degree and grade point average of 3.0 overall (4.0 system) from a regionally-accredited undergraduate or graduate program, or a degree and 3.0 for the last 60 hours from a regionally-accredited undergraduate program.

  Entrance Exam: The applicant must have a score of 300 or higher on the GRE. Minimum requirements for TOEFLS and IELTS are 79 (iBT), 550 (pBT), or 6.5 (IELTS).
