About the course
The Master of Professional Engineering (Civil) is a flexible degree that will allow you to fast-track your career in civil engineering. You will develop the strategic and technical skills required to tackle ‘wicked problems’, applying design thinking and systems engineering principles to develop solutions that are both innovative and ethical. The Master of Professional Engineering (Civil) is designed to facilitate a broader and deeper approach to civil engineering which leads to a formal qualification at the Masters level. The program duration is between 1-3 years full time depending on the student’s prior qualification/s. The program offers students the opportunity to broaden their technical competence either in another discipline (such as disaster management, business, sustainability, construction management, safety and risk), or to deepen their competence in the civil engineering discipline. It may also be used to strengthen a student's technical capacity based on any gaps in their prior knowledge and to expose students to Australian design, construction and management practices.
