About the course
The Master of Occupational Health and Safety Science is designed for graduates in science, engineering, health science, or an approved discipline, with approved tertiary level background in chemistry and biology.
For your 1.5 year of full-time (or part-time equivalent) studies, you'll complete 10 courses, together with an elective to suit your interests and career goals.
You'll learn to apply theory to practice, build your industry contacts, and extend your independence as a researcher through a one- or two-semester industry research project.
You'll also have the opportunity to work in a host workplace on a part-time basis and plan, design, perform, analyse and report on an OHS industry research project.

How to apply
Entry requirements for The University of Queensland
Bachelor degree in science, engineering, health science, or an approved discipline, with approved tertiary level background in chemistry and biology. UQ or equivalent GPA of 4 or above on a 7 point scale. IELTS: Overall Band Score of 6.5 AND a minimum score of 6 in each sub-band of Writing, Reading, Speaking and Listening. TOEFL (Internet-Based-iBT): Overall score 87 with a Writing score of 21 and Reading, Speaking and Listening scores of 19. TOEFL (Paper-based): Overall score of 570 and a minimum score of 5.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE) and 54 in Listening and Reading.
