About the course
The mission of the Master of Music Degree in Instrumental Conducting at the Frost School of Music is to prepare musicians to enter the music conducting profession and/or pursue doctoral studies. The Master of Music degree program in Instrumental Conducting provides students with opportunities for advanced instrumental study, analysis of style, development of technique, and musicianship demonstrated through the ability to conduct ensembles. Entry requirements for University of Miami
Transcripts – an official transcript from ALL post-secondary schools attended, regardless of if a degree was granted or not, must be sent directly to the Frost School of Music from the issuing institution in order to be considered official. Applicants with international transcripts, please see below for specific instructions about approved evaluation services. An official transcript is required for every school attended, even if it was only a single class. Graduate applicants must have a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA for consideration. TOEFL and IELTS scores are only valid for a period of two years. The Frost School of Music requires applicants to receive a minimum TOEFL score of 80 or a minimum IELTS score of 6.5.
