About the course
The mission of the Masters of Music in Choral Conducting at the Frost School of Music is to provide a music performance-based education and to train conductors to further develop the necessary skills and techniques to be competitive with other conductors in graduate school or the professional field, to provide a platform of learning that includes excellence in performance, creativity, artistry, and scholarship, and to foster a sense of community involvement in the arts and the greater musical world. Entry requirements for University of Miami
Transcripts – an official transcript from ALL post-secondary schools attended, regardless of if a degree was granted or not, must be sent directly to the Frost School of Music from the issuing institution in order to be considered official. Applicants with international transcripts, please see below for specific instructions about approved evaluation services. An official transcript is required for every school attended, even if it was only a single class. Graduate applicants must have a minimum of a 3.0 cumulative GPA for consideration. TOEFL and IELTS scores are only valid for a period of two years. The Frost School of Music requires applicants to receive a minimum TOEFL score of 80 or a minimum IELTS score of 6.5.
