  This qualification is suited to those looking to bridge the connection of museum and heritage with the public, creating meaning through history and how the public engages and values museums and heritage, including sites of trauma, commemoration and memorialisation.

  The Master of Museum and Heritage Studies is a postgraduate coursework degree that will develop your understanding of museum and heritage studies, as well as your knowledge of current practices and debates.

  You will complete core units in managing collections and sites in the museum and heritage sector, and a capstone unit comprising either an internship project or a dissertation. How to apply

Entry requirements for The University of Sydney

Admission to candidature for the Master of Museum & Heritage Studies (1 year full-time) requires:

  completion of the requirements for the embedded Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Museum and Heritage Studies with a minimum credit (65%) average, or an equivalent qualification, or

  an Honours degree in a relevant discipline, or

  relevant professional work experience and a bachelor's degree with a minimum credit (65%) average or an equivalent qualification.

  IELTS score A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band

  Toefl Pbt A minimum result of 592 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing

  Toefl ibt A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
