About the course

Students may choose from a comprehensive list of elective courses, to include those of personal interest or required to sit for a bar examination in the U.S. A Practical Skills Track option allows student enrolled in the US Law LLM program the opportunity to acquire hand-on practical legal experience. The skills-based program develops students’ workplace skills through the practical application of the knowledge they have acquired in the classroom. Student who participate in the Practical Skills track complete the 26 credits of required and elective courses plus 2 credits of legal externship supervised by a licensed United States attorney. How to apply

Entry requirements for George Mason University - INTO USA

Either a United States JD from an ABA approved law school OR the equivalent to the United States JD from a foreign law school OR other experience outside the United States that is deemed acceptable by the director of the LLM program.

　　You must have earned a 3.00 GPA on a 4.00 scale or better in your baccalaureate study. The GPA requirement can be higher for individual graduate programs.

　　TOEFL: Minimum of 90 in the iBT test (100 or above highly preferred)

　　IELTS: Minimum of 6.5 (7.5 or above highly preferred)

　　Applicants with a JD from an ABA approved law school meet the language requirement.
