About the course

The LLM in International Commercial Law and Arbitration (ICLA) is designed for students who want to develop expertise in both business law and international commercial arbitration. Learn about the US legal system and gain the skills to begin your practice. The concentration in International Commercial Arbitration at Straus is directed by Professor Jack Coe.

How to apply

Entry requirements for Pepperdine University

Applicants for admission to the Master of Laws (LLM) program must have completed the first degree in law required for law practice or law teaching in the country in which law studies were pursued. U.S. applicants must have an ABA-accredited JD degree. In exceptional cases, U.S. applicants with non-ABA-accredited law degrees may be considered. Applicants for admission to the Master of Dispute Resolution or Certificate in Dispute Resolution must have received a bachelor’s degree from an approved college or university prior to registration. It is recommended that international students submit application at least six (6) months prior to their expected start date, applications can be submitted up to one year in advance. International applicants are required to demonstrate English proficiency via the TOEFL or IELTS Exam, in addition to a Skype interview. International applicants that feel they meet this requirement can submit a written proposal to waive out of the TOEFL or IELTS.
