About the course

The Master of Laws will equip you with the knowledge to excel, flexibility, networking opportunities and the ability to work on a global stage, along with skills to stand out in the competitive legal landscape.

  Students with an undergraduate degree in Law or a Juris Doctor who are looking to specialise and diversify their experience and knowledge of the legal profession.

  The Master of Laws is a postgraduate coursework degree that will enhance your legal knowledge and further develop your critical and analytical thinking while learning the latest developments within the practice and profession of law.

  You will complete elective units in one or more available study areas including administrative law and policy, business law, criminology , environmental law, health law, international law, jurisprudence, labour law and relations and taxation law. Entry requirements for The University of Sydney

Available places will be offered to qualified applicants based on merit, according to the following admissions criteria. Admission to candidature for the Master of Laws requires: a Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor with a minimum credit average from the University of Sydney, or an equivalent qualification.

  IELTS score A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band

  Toefl Pbt A minimum result of 592 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing

  Toefl ibt A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
