One of the strongest family law faculties in the country, with professors who combine academic accomplishment with extensive practice experience plus national and international leadership in legal and policy initiatives. Strong array of clinical and experiential opportunities that range from jury trials in juvenile cases to high impact litigation, from community-based mediation to counseling and negotiation on behalf of individual clients. Entry requirements for University of Minnesota - Twin Cities

A completed application includes:

  official academic transcripts from all colleges and universities attended

  two letters of recommendation

  personal statement

  Résumé or CV

  Business Law LL.M. applicants only: a one-page essay (in addition to your personal statement) explaining your business/corporate law background, and stating concisely your goals in the field of business law.

  The minimum score required on the TOEFL exam is 80, although strong preference is given to applicants with scores over 100. The minimum score required on the IELTS is 6.5.
