Entry requirements for The University of Melbourne
200 POINT PROGRAM
This degree is for students without work experience. The first 50 points (one semester equivalent) of subjects are chosen to fill in gaps in knowledge from your prior course of study.
Any undergraduate degree
With a weighted average mark of at least H3 (65%), or equivalent [1]
One technical subject focused on computer programming (taken at any tertiary year level)
150 POINT PROGRAM
Up to 50 points of credit may be awarded to applicants who have:
A three-year undergraduate degree with a major in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related discipline
With a weighted average mark of at least H3 (65%) or equivalent [1]
100 POINT PROGRAM
Up to 100 points of credit may be awarded to applicants who have:
A four-year undergraduate degree with a major in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related discipline
With a weighted average mark of at least H3 (65%) or equivalent
IELTS: 6.5 (no band less than 6.0)
TOEFL PBT: 577 + TWE 4.5
TOEFL IBT: 79 + Writing 21, Speaking 18, Reading 13, Listening 13
