About the course

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECpE) offers four ways to earn a graduate degree in electrical engineering and computer engineering: a Master of Science with thesis, Master of Science with creative component, traditional Ph.D., and direct entry Ph.D. Our Ph.D. students have earned degrees in as few as four years. Master’s degree students have earned degrees within two years. Electrical, computer, cyber security and software engineers are at the core of our rapidly changing smart world. Entry requirements for Iowa State University

Applicants from countries outside the United States must have a: Bachelor?s or master?s degree in electrical and computer engineering or ly related area. GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher. Graduate Records Examination (GRE) score of 155 or better on the Quantitative section. Statement of Purpose. 3 letters of reccommendation. English Proficiency Minimum: TOEFL Paper (PBT): 570, TOEFL Internet (iBT): 88, IELTS: 6.5.
