About the course

This program prepares Australian registered teachers to teach the subject titled Psychology in the senior phase of schooling. You'll be provided with opportunities to develop the appropriate content and pedagogical content knowledge and teaching strategies for a professional learning pathway into senior secondary psychology teaching.

Entry requirements for The University of Queensland

an approved degree in the same discipline, or

　　a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in the same discipline, or

　　an approved degree in any discipline and 2 years full-time relevant work experience (see below).

　　Relevant work experience is defined as significant and substantive experience in education contexts such as schools, service delivery agencies, government agencies or alternative education settings working with children, adolescents or adults with roles and responsibilities such as, teaching, program/curriculum development, assessment, educational leadership, administration, youth support, allied health, and sport sciences.

　　IELTS overall 6.5, reading 6, writing 6, speaking 6, listening 6. For other English Language Proficiency Tests and Scores approved for UQ

　　TOEFL IBT - Overall 87, listening 19, reading 19, writing 21 and speaking 19.
