In the Master of Biotechnology, you?ll advance your knowledge in areas such as bioethics, protein discovery, molecular genomics, medical biotechnology and functional proteomics. Such knowledge will equip you with a core competency in advanced molecular biotechnology approaches so that you?re primed for a career that is vital to improving our lives and the health of our planet. The prestigious Master of Accounting will enable you to obtain a university qualification that satisfies the accreditation requirements to commence the professional papers offered by CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). In addition, you?ll complete advanced units in financial and management accounting, management control systems, information systems, business ethics and taxation to prepare you for a wide range of accounting roles. How to apply
Entry requirements for Macquarie University
In general, entry requires a Bachelor degree from a recognised institution considered equivalent to an Australian bachelor degree (Level 7 on the Australian Qualifications Framework). Some courses may require previous study or work experience in a related area, a higher level qualification such as an Honours Bachelor (AQF Level 8), or other additional entry criteria that must be satisfied.
Master of Biotechnology
AQF level 7 bachelor's degree incorporating all of the following areas of study: biochemistry, chemistry, microbiology and molecular biology, or recognised equivalent and a WAM of 65
Master of Accounting
AQF level 7 bachelor's qualification in a related field or recognised equivalent, or
AQF level 7 bachelor's qualification or recognised equivalent, and minimum two years relevant approved work experience, professional certification or other recognised prior learning
Academic IELTS of 6.5 overall with minimum 6.0 in each band or equivalent TOEFL iBT 83 with Reading 13, Writing 21, Listening 12 and Speaking 18
