A positive impact in the classroom, leading children on a path to a brighter and more successful future, starts with education policy analysis and reform. George Washington University's Master?s degree in Education Policy will give you the opportunity to develop solutions to educational issues facing the nation and around the globe. This program attracts those interested in the political and social environments affecting education policy with an emphasis on the competencies needed to develop policy options, analyze their potential, implement effectively, and evaluate impacts. Students develop a working knowledge of lessons of the past, they are guided through the complexities of the present and encouraged to identify solutions for the future. Because of our distinct location in the nation's capital, Washington DC, internships are offered in a variety of federal, state, and local agencies. This program includes elective credits that can be used for courses, independent research, and internships in federal, state, or professional organizations. Graduates of the Education Policy Masters program take on positions at think tanks, non-profit national organizations, government agencies, and international organizations providing support and analysis for education-related decision-making. How to apply
Entry requirements for George Washington University
Academic IELTS: an overall band score of 6.0 with no individual score below 5.0.
TOEFL: 550 on paper-based or 80 on Internet-based test.
To be eligible for admission, applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Applicants who have earned their degrees outside of the US must hold degrees from institutions in compliance with their national standards.
