About the course

The Department of Economics at Texas Tech is committed to rigorous theoretical and quantitative analysis in teaching and research. The Department of Economics offers programs that lead to a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, a Bachelor of Science in Economics, a Bachelor of Science in International Economics, a Master of Arts in Economics, and a Ph.D. in Economics. The non-thesis plan requires successful completion of 12 courses (36 credit hours) and passing of a comprehensive written examination for the Mater of Arts in Economics degree. How to apply

Entry requirements for Texas Tech University

International applicants must provide original language documents and English translations. If the documents are not provided in English, an official English translation of all transcripts/ individual semester mark sheets is required.

　　If admitted, the applicant will be required to submit official transcripts, diplomas/degree certificates, and test scores by the twelfth class day of the term to which the applicant is admitted.

　　Original or Certified Copies of All College and University Transcripts - Include mark sheets, examination results, etc. An official English translation is required. If the degree is not complete when the application is made, six semesters or three years of course work are required.

　　The minimum TOEFL score required is 550 (paper-based version) or 79 (internet-based version).

　　The minimum IELTS required score is an overall band score of 6.5 on the Academic version.
