About the course

Train in the fundamentals of film acting in our MA program. This is a streamlined approach to the technical, physical and vocal skills needed to work as on-camera actor in film and television. The program also focuses on contemporary audition technique and fundamental script analysis skills. You will graduate from the MA program with a demo reel and an acting website showcasing your unique skills and professional readiness.

　　Deliver engaging performances with the energy level appropriate for the performance medium

　　Identify and play a clear objective in a scene

　　Use the other person as a driving focus in a scene

　　Communicate nuanced meaning in a scene

　　Add believable emotional life to a scene, as appropriate to the script

　　Use the body as a tool to build character

How to apply

Entry requirements for Academy of Art University

Provide proof of undergraduate degree by submitting official transcripts from your college/university, one page Statement of Intent, a Personal resume, and a portfolio/demo reel. You may submit your application for admission before taking the test. More information is available online for TOEFL and for IELTS. While we do not require these scores and do not have a minimum score requirement, you will be evaluated for English language proficiency upon arrival at Academy of Art University.
