About the course

Study History, Politics, Philosophy and and our newly formed BA International Relations to contemplate, discuss and debate some of the most profound questions and issues relating to humanity and societies.

  You’ll learn to understand, evaluate and critically respond to external developments, processes and questions in historical and contemporary form that affect so many aspects of our daily lives.

  We’ll develop you into an independent thinker and researcher who’s capable of producing your own interpretations of historical events through analysis of the evidence.  

  Our variety of courses will give you insights into how political systems shape societies and will take you on a journey through the key arguments and debates in the fields of metaphysics, moral theory, applied ethics, theory of knowledge and more. You’ll also get to explore modern British, Irish and world history. 

  Throughout all our courses you’ll develop an in-depth understanding of key theories, ideas and ideologies in your chosen fields. You’ll develop the ability to critically reflect on, discuss, debate and write about topical issues, including social injustice, culture and identity from a local, national and international perspective.
