About the course

The LPC is the final stage of training to become a qualified solicitor. You study the LPC after successful completion of a qualifying law degree, or other recognised qualifications.

　　The LPC is recognised and well-respected and valued by law firms due to the level of practical preparation our students receive, beyond just theory. It’s a hands-on qualification and certifying means that you will be able to adapt to working life as a solicitor and thrive quickly.

How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Law

Students are required to possess an undergraduate degree in any subject at 2:2 or above or equivalent qualifications.

　　In addition students require knowledge of the seven foundation subjects of English Legal System, Constitutional and Administrative Law including retained EU Law, Contract, Tort, Land Law, Equity and Trusts and Crime, which they can evidence through the successful completion of these modules on an LLB or equivalent, or a law conversion course or equivalent.

　　English language requirements for applicants whose first language is not English

　　An English Language level equivalent to IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component. Please see 'Alternative English language qualifications' section below for alternatives to IELTS.
