About the course
Our combined LLM and LPC course is your chance to study a professional qualification as part of the vocational stage of training necessary to become admitted as a solicitor You’ll gain skills in legal interviews, research, writing, drafting and advocacy and show competency in the areas of professional conduct and regulation, accounts, financial services and markets, taxation and human rights. The aims of the course are to prepare you for work-based learning and provide you with a general foundation for practice. As an LLM Law student you’ll be able to attend cJAM, our alternative careers fair, where you get face-to-face time with up to 30 successful industry professionals with work placement opportunities. You’ll also be able to take advantage of opportunities to participate in the School’s Pro Bono Law Clinic and Mediation Clinic giving you a ‘real life’ insight in to legal practice. Entry requirements for University of Central Lancashire
You must have completed the academic stage of legal training. This stage is usually completed either by graduating with a qualifying law degree or with a non-law degree then passing the Common Professional Examination (Graduate Diploma in Law).Applicants must have a qualifying law degree (2:2 or above) which satisfies the requirements of the Solicitors Regulation Authority of England and Wales.
