About the course
Gain a broad introduction to the basics of law and criminology at one of the UK’s leading providers of legal education on our Law Foundation Entry Degree. It’s a great stepping stone to a degree programme. You’ll acquire core skills and legal knowledge to help you to progress onto a degree programme. It’s a course that’s underpinned by research of international excellence. You’ll gain a real insight into the legal profession with regular visits from leading practitioners, academics and judges. You’ll be supported in finding legal placements as part of the course and our North West based alumni offer graduate placements. With a Law Foundation Entry LLB (Hons) you can go on to the professional element of legal training either as a solicitor (the Legal Practice Course) or as a barrister (the Bar Professional Training Course). You’ll develop skills that are attractive to a range of employers - you could find yourself working for a football club or insurance company, within the probation service or the police force. Or you may want to work for the civil service or a local government office. There are also wider carer opportunities as a CEO, business leader, teacher, academic, researcher, board representative. This means that we will take into consideration your educational achievements and predicted grades (where applicable) together with your application as a whole, including work experience and personal statement.
