About the course

Georgetown Law has a long tradition of the study and teaching of legal ethics.Faculty scholarship covers topics such as the special challenges, obligations and commitments of criminal defense attorneys, the ethical practices of tax lawyers in relation to tax avoidance schemes, systematic changes in the legal profession and the organization of law firms, and the use, development and impact of new technologies on the provision of legal services.In addition to the general Professional Responsibility course, Georgetown Law offers courses in topics such as professional responsibility for tax lawyers, building a law firm, and ethics in public interest practice. Clinics, practicums, and externship companion courses integrate the study of professional responsibilities into experiential learning. Students graduate Georgetown Law with an understanding not only of the law, but also of changes, challenges, and new opportunities in the legal profession. Entry requirements for Georgetown University

Your resume should describe your work experience, extracurricular or volunteer activities, academic institutions attended, and any academic honors or awards.

　　All applicants must register with LSAC?s Credential Assembly Service (CAS) in order to transmit academic transcripts to Georgetown Law.

　　All applicants are required to submit an LSAT, GRE, or GMAT score received within the last five years.

　　an official transcript, school report or letter (signed and dated) from an educational institution where the language of instruction is English showing a minimum gpa equivalency of 3.0

　　Georgetown Law requires only one letter of recommendation, but additional letters or evaluations are welcome.
