About the course

This concentration program is designed to satisfy the interests and provide the professional preparation for those students who find fascination in exploring how business and industry create the means to finance their operations.

　　From the venture capital firm to the large online retail megastores, the program focuses upon the formation of capital and the subsequent trading of financial instruments in the secondary market.

　　The regulations, statutes, and case law designed to enhance capital formation and ensure fair and equitable markets are examined for how they work to insure a healthy national economy. Courses that are either required or electives allow the dedicated student to discover methods of capital formation and the structure of the markets in which secondary trading occurs. Entry requirements for The Catholic University of America

Two-page personal statement

　　One-page resume

　　At least 1 but no more than 2 letters of recommendation

　　A Law School Data Assembly Service (LSDAS) report containing your LSAT score(s)

　　A TOEFL score of 100 for the internet-based test (iBT) or 600 for the paper-based test (PBT)

　　All undergraduate and graduate transcripts. (These can also be in your LSDAS report) If you received a degree from an institution not located in the United States or Canada, you will need to provide a translated copy of those transcripts from an organization such as WES, ECE, or LSAC's JD Credential Assembly Service.

　　A phone interview may be required.

　　To be eligible for admission, an applicant must have received an undergraduate degree from a college or university accredited by one of the regional associations and demonstrated satisfactory performance on the Law School Admission Test (LSAT).
