About the course

Although the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University offers a number of structured specialization options, students are not required to specialize in their legal studies. Many students enter law school without a clearly defined area of interest. Those students may pursue a general course of study, choosing electives as their interests develop. All Scalia Law students, whether pursuing a specialty track or the General Law Program, are required to satisfactorily complete 89 credit hours for graduation. Forty of those credit hours are in general courses, the remaining credit hours are in elective courses. Students who are interested in exploring, or who intend to practice in, the specialized field of patent law may wish to pursue one or more Patent Law Focus Area courses. Students may complete a Concentration in Patent Law by completing at least five courses listed under the Patent Law Focus Area and earning a final grade of “B-” or higher in each course. Entry requirements for George Mason University - INTO USA

An earned baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education, or international equivalent, verified from copies of unofficial transcripts uploaded to the online application Self-Service Center.

　　You must have earned a 3.00 GPA on a 4.00 scale or better in your baccalaureate study.
