About the course
Students of exceptional ability who wish to concentrate on professional development with a minimum of academic requirements may apply for admission to the Graduate Professional Diploma (GPD) program. A baccalaureate or equivalent degree or certificate from a recognized institution is required for admission. The purpose of this program is to provide intensive study in contemporary compositional techniques and the presentation of new work for those composers who plan to work primarily outside of academia. How to apply
Entry requirements for University of Hartford
Graduate applicants must submit two or three examples of your work with the application. These will be reviewed ahead of your scheduled audition/interview day by the composition faculty. They will use these compositions as the basis for the conversation that develops during your interview.
The following supporting documents must be submitted with your application or within two weeks of applying:
Letter of Intent
Performance/Professional Resume
Repertoire list: Required for all auditioning applicants
Transcripts from all higher education institutions attended
Three letters of recommendation
Minimum score: 550 paper-based or 80 internet-based.
The IELTS is also accepted with a minimum score of 6.5 or higher.
