The harp studio at Hartt is a supportive community of talented, friendly harpists. Learn about harp at Hartt, including undergraduate and graduate admission and audition requirements and faculty information. Harp Ensemble, Repertoire and Studio Class and Harp Teaching Principles are just a few of the courses that harpists at Hartt partake in and enjoy. Orchestral and solo opportunities are many at Hartt, with monthly opportunities to perform solos or chamber music in the Evening with Guitar and Harp concert series. Hartt harpists are encouraged to partake in as many performance, competition and growth opportunities as possible, both in school, and in the vibrant capital region of Hartford. How to apply

Entry requirements for University of Hartford

Complete an application to the University of Hartford

　　Complete an audition and interview*. All applicants will have an interview within their major?s department or with their audition panel. Applicants to all graduate music education programs will also complete a brief music skills assessment test.

　　Submit supporting documents within two weeks of applying:

　　Letter of Intent

　　Performance/Professional Resume

　　Repertoire list: Required for all auditioning applicants

　　Preliminary Video and Portfolio Submission

　　Three letters of recommendation

　　Transcripts from all higher education institutions attended The Hartt School will not be hosting live auditions for 2021 applicants due to safety concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic. All applicants will be required to submit a recorded audition with their application. Interviews will be scheduled once all application materials have been submitted. Minimum IELTS scores 6.5 Minimum TOEFL scores 80 internet-based test Toefl 550 (Paper Based Total).
