About the course
The Iowa State University Chemistry Ph.D. program features a renowned faculty. The professors guide students as they learn to think critically and creatively about solutions to important and challenging scientific problems. Our department’s research groups are well-funded by Federal and State agencies and by industry, supporting our graduate students’ work on cutting-edge and impactful science. These research projects, as well as many interdisciplinary and collaborative projects, provide opportunities for graduate students to develop world-class science in a beautiful state-of-the art chemistry building. Entry requirements for Iowa State University
All International graduate students must have at least an 89 on the TOEFL (570 on paper, 6.5 IELTS) to be eligible to apply to our program and to the University. The English Placement Exam is required for all non-native English speakers who DO NOT have a prior Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. degree from a U.S. college or university. Photocopies of your GRE, TOEFL (IELTS) scores. CV (or resume), Transcripts. All degree-seeking graduate students must have graduated with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a regionally accredited U.S. institution or from a recognized foreign institution where the requirements for the bachelor’s degree or its equivalent are similar to those at ISU. The Graduate College requires at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA on your BS/BA degree.
