About the course

The Department of Mathematics at the University of Oklahoma offers the following degree programs: Ph.D. in Mathematics M.S. in Mathematics M.A. in Mathematics Our programs are rigorous and designed to give students a solid foundation in advanced mathematics. After leaving OU, our graduates are prepared for successful careers in academia, industry, and government service. Here at Oklahoma, our core research areas are Algebra and Number Theory, Analysis and Applied Math, Geometry and Toplogy, and RUME (math education). We have approximately 34 faculty, 60 graduate students, and 8 postdoctoral researchers. The atmosphere in the department is friendly and collaborative, with numerous weekly seminars running in all our research areas and regular tea time. 　　These should be from people familiar with your work in mathematics. Please encourage your letter writers to read our advice for letter writers.

　　These should be copies of your recent, official transcript.

　　International students only:

　　Proof of English proficiency. You need a TOEFL score of at least 79 or an IELTS score of at least 6.5.
