The Ph.D. in materials science and engineering is a research-intensive program that prepares students for careers in research and teaching in the field. Students are involved in many aspects of original research, advancing scientific knowledge in specific areas.

Entry requirements for University of Nevada
Applicants to the doctoral program should have an undergraduate degree from an accredited institution in a field that prepares them for graduate work in materials science and engineering.Undergraduate GPA of 3.0\. TOEFL scores of 550 (paper) or 79 (internet) or 6.5 on the IELTS.
